Simulation
Frostpaw Village
★★★★☆ 4.2
Frostpaw Village is a warm little simulation about keeping a settlement of animal villagers happy through changing seasons. You plan crops, gather firewood, and plan for winter, which hits hard if you slacked off in autumn.
What I liked is that villagers have needs and moods you can't fully optimize away. Someone always wants something, and juggling that feels human rather than like a spreadsheet. The seasonal cycle keeps the loop fresh.
It leans casual and never gets stressful, though the late game slows down once your village is stable. A patch or two of new events would go a long way, but it's charming as is.
What we liked
- Cozy seasonal cycle
- Villagers with real moods
- Low-stress management
