The quiet joy of supply lines

The quiet joy of supply lines

Most mobile strategy games are about stacking bigger numbers. Ironhold Command isn't, and that's exactly why I kept playing it. When you have to feed and route your army, every decision gains weight.

Logistics force you to think about geography. A strong position far from your roads is a trap waiting to happen. I lost my first campaign because I expanded fast and starved my own front line.

The genre suits mobile surprisingly well when it supports pausing. I played whole matches in short bursts and never felt lost returning to them. That flexibility matters more on a phone than on a console.

If you've bounced off strategy games before, try one that emphasizes positioning over raw force. It's a different kind of satisfying when a plan comes together because you managed your resources, not because you out-spent the enemy.
